Located in Winchester, Indiana in Randolph County, the Asylum / Infirmary is well known in the paranormal community as a hotbed of activity that never fails to wow visitors. Whether your love is for architecture, history, or all the spooky stuff, you will love the Asylum. The building’s halls and rooms are filled with spirits and a plethora of paranormal activity. Many of the residents of this historical building, young and old, continue to make their presence known both day and night.

The asylum has hosted TV Shows like Paranormal Lockdown, Destination Fear, and Kindred Spirits and has served as a location for several movies. We welcome filming, whether it’s a big production or your own YouTube channel. We also welcome photography sessions, weddings, birthday parties, and events. The asylum has electricity, working restrooms, a fully functional kitchen, wi-fi, climate control in the superintendent’s section, beds to accommodate overnight guests, and approximately 60,000 square feet to explore and enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE: WHILE WE WELCOME VISITORS TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE BUILDING WHEN THEY ARE PASSING THROUGH RANDOLPH COUNTY, ANYONE WISHING TO VIEW THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE A DAYTIME HISTORY TOUR OR MINI-HUNT. Daytime history tours and mini-hunts: These can be done any day of the week you would like to visit with a start time of 11am to 3pm. There is no age restriction for daytime events. Price on history tours is $25 per person ($15 for anyone under the age of 16) with a minimum of 3 people per group. We can accommodate groups larger than ten people, but we do need a good headcount to ensure appropriate staffing for your tour. Mini-hunts last for 2 hours and cost $25 per person ($15 for anyone under the age of 16). You will be on your own for the duration of the mini-hunt. This is two hours to explore and investigate during daylight hours.
Overnight investigations: These are strictly private events only. If you book a private overnight, you and your group will be the only guests in the building for the night. Private overnights run from 6pm to 10am and include a tour of the building. Check the availability calendar to see what dates are still open for booking your overnight investigation.
